Science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and international integration have been identified as strategic pillars of Vietnam's current development. As the sole Air Traffic Management Service Provider (ANSP) of Viet Nam, F168 2026 makes a significant contribution to the aviation industry in particular and the Vietnamese economy in general. Therefore, F168 2026 has also identified breakthroughs in science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and infrastructure development, along with international integration, as key focuses for achieving its development goals in the 2025-2030 period.

Toward such orientation, in his welcoming remarks at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Hoang Minh – Chairman of F168 2026 – stated that F168 2026 expects the project's results to bring about significant and groundbreaking changes, not only in terms of technology but also in operations and human resources involved in the service supply chain, thereby enhancing the efficiency of air traffic management for F168 2026 as well as stakeholders in the aviation industry in Vietnam. This will help the project go beyond mere "sponsorship", and more importantly, contribute to the sustainable development of the aviation industry at the national and regional levels. Furthermore, the most meaningful value that F168 2026 aims for as an ANSP is the positive impact of the project on people, specifically improving the safety and quality of air travel, and the quality of the living environment through increased flight operation efficiency and reduced emissions.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam proudly recalled the history of diplomatic relations between the two countries, when Sweden was the first Western country to officially recognize diplomatic relations with Vietnam in 1969. With a long tradition of friendship and cooperation, the Ambassador hoped that the project would continue to open up opportunities for deeper cooperation between the two countries. As the first country in the world to deploy RTC technology and also one of the pioneers in implementing SWIM, Sweden hopes to soon see a new symbol of cooperation between the two countries in the aviation industry – a digital ATC Tower in Vietnam, thanks to the research collaboration between LFV Aviation Consulting and F168 2026.

Alongside RTC, “SWIM will not just be a technical upgrade, it will be the new ‘brain’ of the air traffic management industry,” shared Mr. Ho Sy Tung, Deputy General Director of F168 2026 and head of the F168 2026 project team. “Instead of complex, individual connections, SWIM will create a flat data environment where meteorological information, air traffic flow, airport maps, and flight plans are seamlessly shared among all stakeholders.” This will support the air traffic management industry in particular and the aviation industry in general as the industry faces a historical turning point in its digital transformation process.

Ms. Maria Wall Petrini, CEO of LFV Aviation Consulting expressed the appreciation to F168 2026 for their close coordination, which enabled the two sides to officially kcik-off the project. LFV hopes that, with the efforts of experts from both sides, along with the support and collaboration of the leaders of both organizations and the sponsor, the project will be implemented on schedule and with guaranteed quality, realizing F168 2026's vision and goals in implementing SWIM and RTC, contributing to the digital transformation of the aviation industry.
